Earlier today, the front man (or the man in the shadows of the stage) of Tool confirmed through Twitter that the new album would be released mid May or mid July. With how secretive Maynard likes to be with the projects that he is working on, the drummer Danny Carey gave some insight to a release date. During an autograph signing at NAMM late January in California, he told a fan that it would be released mid April. When Maynard was asked about this by another fan on Twitter he replied with “no”. So, here we are today (February 8th) with some positive news.
It has been 13 years since their last album 10,000 Years. While Maynard has been keeping some of his die hard fans captivated with his other bands (A Perfect Circle and Puscifer), this is definitely what they have been waiting for.
